Rallying enthusiasm for election day turnout I've heard of at least three companies making special offers for voters and I am already planning my route from the polling place. Actually I early voted, but I am still going to make good on some of these offers.
Starbucks is offering a free tall cup of brewed coffee all day, November 4.
Krispy Kreme is offering a free star shaped donut with patriotic sprinkles to all retail customers wearing an "I Voted" sticker on November 4. I early voted and my sticker is long gone but I may try for the free donut anyway.
Ben & Jerry's is offering a free scoop of ice cream from 5-8pm, November 4.
Are you aware of any other offers? Post a comment here to share with others.

Boy, good luck to you at the Kreme. Our experience in 04 was that they were pretty stingy with the donuts: one sticker, one donut, and you have to SURRENDER THE STICKER. I mean, sheesh. Isn't the good will worth more than a measly donut? But maybe you can sweet talk them or maybe you'll encounter a more friendly clerk.
Maybe I'll print a whole page of the graphic I used on this post and cut them out and get some double-sided tape and load my car with a dozen different jackets and sunglasses and hats and fake mustaches and take them for a dozen donuts. What do I care? Their not real stickers. Take that Krispy Kreme.
This has nothing to do with voting, but....The key to getting a free Glazed at the Kreme is to have your happy labrador in the car with you. We almost always get free donuts at the North N'ville Kreme when we have the dogs in the car. Not that I'm eating donuts anymore....or B&Jerry's or StarBucks for that matter. If you think you can be a Perfect 10 and eat that garbage, get real.
